I thought I missed UK radio...
…until I hear about Nick Grimshaw’s song of the day.
Generic electro who are, or want to be, French.
They are called ‘Ou Est Le Swimming Pool’.
What.
It seems that NOTHING has changed in a year.
Monday News
I really dig being the news guy for Monday Club (my friends and I convene at the pub every Monday to celebrate life).
Ryan’s comandeering of my notebook influenced me to write this weeks as a stream of conciousness poem:
It always begins with Mike the chicken, Bein fed with milk an corn feed an survivin for a mistaken 18 months. He always knows the true names of the men that work: Rafa is...
Ok, so...
… I am back in the UK. Back Home. And My adventures will continue.
I could very easily sit right here and write about my experiences in Cuba but I would be here until next week so I am just going to… it’s not that I am not going to bother, it’s just it’ll appear here and there when I have nothing else to write about.
For now:

AIRRRRRPOOROORRRTS
I hate airports. I have spent about a third of the last week at this particular one.
I suppose it’s that time. Time to say goodbye and whatnot.
I don’t know how easy it will be to get on the internet in Cuba so I will be going quiet for a while.
I am going to carry on writing, only in a journal that A bought for me for christmas which I love. When I go back somewhere that allows...
A Hairy End
Here I am back in Mexico, in a state of panic.
Why do these things always happen to me?
Before I left, I lost my bank card three hours before my bus to DF. I had to frantically contact my bank to cancel the lost card and arrange a direct money transfer to a Western Union; Once there, I had to fill out 2 forms, get a copy of my passport and wait for 50 minutes before they gave me the money. I...

A Summing Up Of Parts (Part DEUX)
Like Hot Shots!
Sleep eludes me once again.
Ok, Part Deux is like the contemporary thing. I know, I seem t have left out a lot of details but I tend to do that.
Preamble to 9/12/08
It is now yesterday and the crazy came back.
I don’t know what happened, it was all cool and then I seemed to regress slightly; the old, unwelcome feelings of doubt and paranoia crept up on me.
I did...
Apocolypse Now
Si baje la escalera, estaré en la plaza
Si yo bajara la escalera, estaría en la plaza
Si yo hubiera bajado la escalera, habría estado en la plaza
One man’s journey into madness demonstrated using ‘si’ clauses and the subjunctive.
A Summing Up of Parts. (Part I)
It seems to me that I have been wasting this space.
Nonsensical splurges and sleep deprived, alcohol/drug induced scribblings are all well and good but this place need more than that. It needs something real.
So here it goes:
It’s coming to the end of my stay in Xalapa and it’s nearly time to ramble on to the next place so I thought I’d respond to prospective questioning of...
Ode To A Reliable Friend
The clock has hands akimbo, it’s that time of the every-three-months-or-so again.
Sitting here on a stained sofa, with only four Liverpudlians and a pack of Delicados for company.
Somebody bless insomnia, my thoughtful friend (but only when it’s good at the start).
John’s “Waiting for that sleepy feeling”. Just like me!
Thanks, man.
It’s not even because...

The Fate of Foxes
It’s taken out of the newspaper (nothing has been changed except the words).
OK, so it’s been a while I have written anything remotely meaningful on here so, seeing as how I am feeling merry; full of birthday cheer (Simon’s, not mine), I thought I might stretch the word muscles a bit and write some things.
The sun is beginning to set over Mexico ( you can tell by that...
These are some things that I have done.
Proceeded with Movember growth
(Props to Matt)
Fallen over twice.
(Thanks to booze and poor coodination)
Had my hair cut into a Morrissey quiff.
(Thanks to the 80s, and especially Maggie)
Started a trend.
(Thanks to Ellery and the London Hiphop scene)
Had a very lazy day.
(because of Sundays. And a comfortable bed to spend it in)
Been dressed up as I slept.
(due to my inability to...

Un Regalo
Ok, so a present from a friend and Mota inspired this.
Supergallina
The superhero chicken is here to save the world from Evil and all things capitalist!
Supergallina comes from the same planet as Superman and, as such, has all sorts of super powers, like:
The ability to fly for prolonged periods;
Das Capital;

Café Clichés #32
“It’s amazing what you can achieve with a clear head.” he professed while raising an espresso to his lips and inserting a finger in his left ear.
“Tidy desk, tidy mind” agreed his companion who was looking elsewhere, watching the breeze catch butterflies out the window.

I don’t want the only thing I have done on here today to be so serious.
Here’s The Count.
Rant 101- A retort
That to which I am referring is HERE
Ah! Patriotism!
Matt, I agree with on certain points but on others we differ entirely. To me, the idea of Patriotism is good. It’s natural to be proud of your heritage and where you come from. I know I am. But you don’t need a special day or a special image of what it is to be British/English to be proud of your roots.
Whether you like it or...
Impressions Reflections Infractions
So I have been here in Mexico for two months now.
Man, the time has passed pretty fast. I was going to try and write about what I have learned about the place in that time, try and give people an idea of what it is like and how it is different from back home.
But I don’t think I can. One of the things that I have found here is that it’s easy to adjust to the difference in culture, so much so...
Fierce Beginnings
I was there minding my own business, catching up with the latest comings and goings of non-profit organisations when the white chocolate cowboy comes up to me with a proposition. Naturally, he had it written (because of his inability to form words in a language I can hear) on a grubby square of paper, etched in with a blue biro.
It was complimentary but barbed with criticism,
Affable but with...
